1 1/2 cup dried lentils
8 c organic vegetable broth
2 cups roasted tomato sauce (you can use canned tomatoes, but the sauce is worth it.)
1 large onion, diced
3 medium carrots, peeled and diced
1 bunch celery, diced
1 bunch asparagus, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 bay leaf
1 t salt
1 t pepper
Combine all ingredients in a large pot; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf.

You can pretty much follow the recipe. Start it on high and then turn it down after an hour or so. If you are starting it in the morning and will be gone all day, do the whole thing on low.
Peace,
Milton
